How to install SimpleAddon add-ons
SimpleAddon add-ons can be installed in two ways. You can either copy the extracted add-on into the Add-Ons folder inside your Archicad installation folder, or load it from another folder using Add-On Manager.
Before you start
Make sure you download the correct add-on for your Archicad version and your operating system.
Windows and macOS add-ons are different files, so please choose the one that matches your setup.
Installation method 1
Copy the add-on to the Add-Ons folder inside your Archicad installation folder
- Download the ZIP file.
- Extract the ZIP file.
- Copy the extracted add-on into the Add-Ons folder inside your Archicad installation folder. Then start Archicad, or restart it if it is already running.
- The add-on should become available automatically after startup.
Installation method 2
Load the add-on from another folder using Add-On Manager
- Download the ZIP file.
- Extract the ZIP file.
- Keep the extracted add-on in your preferred folder.
- Open Archicad.
- Go to Options > Add-On Manager.
- Add the add-on from its current folder.
- Restart Archicad if needed.
If the command is not visible in the menu
If the add-on is loaded but you cannot see its command in the menu, the reason is usually the current Work Environment setup.
In Archicad, the menu or toolbar location of add-on commands depends on the Work Environment settings. Make sure an Add-on Anchor Point is present in the relevant menu or toolbar.
Troubleshooting
